Ivonne González, a Cuban-born lawyer,
head of the "Blackening Wikipedia" project in the
online encyclopedia and is the operational director of the Noircir association.
After graduating in Law from the University of Havana
de la Havane in Cuba, she first obtained a Master's degree in European Law and International Economic Law at the University of Geneva, then a Certificate in International Arbitration at the same university.
At the same time, Ivonne González is an artist. She is a musician and performer, leading since 2018, the Black Guiris collective, which carries out participatory artistic performances on the theme of the invisibility of black people in artistic, educational and other milieus. The collective's performances have been presented in several museums and festivals in Europe and Latin America.
Ivonne González, gives lectures on the theme of racism for various associations across Europe, has been leading since 2018 the multilingual project Noircir Wikipedia for the visibility of the contributions of African and Afro-descendant culture to universal culture, in the online encyclopedia and in 2021, collaborates with the Department of Public Instruction of the city of Geneva giving workshops against harassment related to racism and other forms of discrimination. She was nominated for the Swiss Award Diversity in 2024 and works as a guest curator in cultural institutions.
